The TASC-RestoreMed Town Hall Meeting is designed to help potential applicants structure, refine, and validate their project ideas during the Open Call application period. Participants will gain clarity on call requirements, receive guidance on how to align their ideas with Mission Ocean priorities, and have the opportunity to ask targeted questions directly to experts before submitting their proposals.
How to Register
The Town Hall will be held online on 11 February at 12:00 CET and will be hosted by IHA (Impact Hub Athens). Registration is required: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/KS9JImWjRAq1_9kawCuCwg
To complete your registration, you are asked to submit any questions you may have in advance in the zoom registration link above. Register by 4 February to have your questions addressed live during the session. Questions submitted after this date will be answered by email.

What to expect
The session will function as an open, interactive forum, enabling participants to present early-stage ideas, clarify doubts, and understand how to strengthen their applications. Experts will be available to respond to technical and procedural questions related to the Open Call, including representatives of the project coordinator HCMR (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research) and F6S.
In addition, dedicated thematic experts will support applicants across the three Mission Ocean pillars, ensuring alignment with the programme’s objectives:
- Pillar #1 – Protecting and Restoring Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems and Biodiversity
Led by CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of University of Porto), with expert guidance on biodiversity protection methodologies, monitoring approaches, impact indicators, assessment methods, stakeholder engagement, and open data practices. - Pillar #2 – Preventing and Eliminating Pollution of Ocean, Seas, and Water
Led by NTUA (National Technical University of Athens), offering technical support on pollution source identification, baseline assessments, monitoring and mitigation planning, use of digital and analytical tools, KPI definition, and alignment with EU water policy frameworks. - Pillar #3 – Ensuring a Sustainable, Carbon-Neutral, and Circular Blue Economy
Led by UM (University of Maribor), providing expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability modelling, GHG impact quantification, system boundary definition, and methodological consistency with Mission Ocean sustainability objectives.
The meeting is planned to last one hour. If needed, and depending on the discussion and questions raised, the session may be extended by up to an additional 30 minutes.
