Important Update: TASC-RestoreMed Open Call Documents Version 1.1 Now Live

Based on the valuable feedback received from our Mediterranean community and potential applicants, we have updated the TASC-RestoreMed Open Call documentation to ensure a more inclusive and flexible application process.

All potential applicants are mandatorily required to consult the Guide for Applicants v1.1 and the revised Annex 1.1A to ensure their proposals are aligned with the new requirements.

Summary of Key Changes in Version 1.1:

  • VAT Requirement Flexibility: Eligible applicants must be legal entities established in an eligible location. While a valid VAT number is generally required, it is not mandatory at the submission stage for entities that have no statutory obligation to hold one under their national legislation. Such entities will only be required to provide official proof of legal registration if they are selected and invited for the contracting phase.
  • Softened Multiple Submission Rules: We have updated the policy to encourage broader collaboration. An organisation may now be involved in more than one application within the same Open Call type (either Type A: CLA OR Type B: TAD). However, an organisation can be granted funding as a beneficiary only once. If multiple projects involving the same organisation are shortlisted, only the highest-scoring application will be selected for funding.
  • Pillar 3 Topic Refinement: The list of proposed topics under Pillar 3 in the Annex 1.1A Catalogue has been updated to better align with the environmental restoration goals of the Mediterranean Sea and the Mission Ocean objectives.
